The Vineyard At an average altitude of 90 meters above sea level, in the village of Haux, near Bordeaux, the Chateau’s vineyard benefits of the exceptional terroir of the Garonne hillsides and an excellent south facing exposure. Its clay-gravelly soil and limestone subsoil are ideal for the drainage of the land necessary for the vine. Over the years, the vineyard has grown. Before any new plot is bought, it is leased for a period of 3 years so the potential and quality of the soil and vines can be tested. Today… All vineyard work is done mostly manually to ensure the preservation of the soil and maintain the high quality of the grapes. |
